GOOD NEWS about Women teams
Hello!
During the 28th CDCA's AGM in Montreal a motion was passed to host the 1st Women Try-Out in Ottawa from October 27 to 29, 2006.
The Gold medal winners from this Try-Out will represent Canada at the 16th Deaflympics at Salt City Lake, Utah, from February 1 to 10, 2007. There are 4 Countries (Women teams) registered for the 1st. Curling Demonstration: Canada, USA, Finland and Slovakia.
Is your Curling Branch/Assoication ready to send your Provincial Deaf Women Champions to the 1st. Women Try-Out in Ottawa this October?
1) The Women Champions curlers MUST have their audiogram completed and send to your Provincal Deaf Curling Association. All audiograms from team shall be forwarded to CDSA on or by October 15, 2006. To get the Audiogram Form, please log-on: www.assc-cdsa.com, then click on link to CISS to copy their Audiogram Form. Take this form when you have your hearing tested. *Women curlers has to pay their own for audiogram*.

2) Remind about fundrasing - It may be necessary for each Curler to raise approximately $1500.00. Therefore we encourage your Women teams to prepare and start fundrasing NOW incase your provincial Women's team win Gold and is eligible to represent Canada at the 16th Deaflympics Winter Games in Feb./07 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
